1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Ride5 Taxi. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ride5 Taxi mobile application, website, and related ride-hailing and parcel logistics services (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account, downloading our mobile app, or using any part of our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue using our platform immediately.

2. Services Offered

Ride5 provides a technology platform that connects users ("Riders") with independent transportation and parcel delivery providers ("Driver-Partners"). Our services include:

• Bike Taxi: On-demand single-passenger motorcycle transport for quick commuting.
• Auto Rickshaw: Affordable three-wheeler rides for short-to-medium urban distances.
• Cab: Four-wheeler sedan and SUV options for single or group urban & outstation travel.
• Parcel Delivery: Point-to-point courier transport for packages, documents, and personal belongings.

Note: Ride5 Taxi acts as an intermediary technology aggregator. Ride5 does not own vehicles or operate directly as a transportation carrier.

3. User Account & Eligibility

To use Ride5, you must register for an account by providing accurate personal information including your full name, valid phone number, and preferred payment method.

• You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials.
• You agree to notify Ride5 immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Ride5 reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false details or violate our safety standards.

4. Fares, Surge Pricing & Payments

Fares for rides and deliveries are calculated dynamically based on distance, estimated trip duration, vehicle category, traffic conditions, and real-time demand.

• Upfront Fares: An estimated fare is shown before confirming your booking. Final fares may adjust if the trip route or destination is altered during the ride.
• Surge Pricing: During peak hours, adverse weather, or high-demand periods, fare multipliers may apply. Surge fares will always be displayed transparently prior to booking confirmation.
• Payment Methods: Payments can be made via Cash, Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, Net Banking, or Ride5 In-App Wallet.
• Tolls & Parking: All government tolls, parking fees, and state entry taxes incurred during the trip will be added to the final invoice.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Both Riders and Driver-Partners have the option to cancel a ride request. However, cancellation fees may apply to protect the time and fuel costs of Driver-Partners.

• Free Cancellation Window: You may cancel without charge within 2 minutes of a Driver-Partner accepting your booking.
• Cancellation Fee: A nominal cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel after 2 minutes or if the driver arrives at the pickup point and waits over 5 minutes without contact.
• Refunds: If you believe you were incorrectly charged a cancellation fee or overcharged due to a technical error, you may raise a dispute in the app within 7 days for a review and wallet refund.

6. User Conduct & Zero Tolerance Policy

Safety and mutual respect are non-negotiable at Ride5. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against misconduct, harassment, or unlawful behavior.

• Riders must treat Driver-Partners with respect and refrain from abusive language, physical aggression, or damage to the vehicle.
• Wearing helmets during Bike Taxi trips is mandatory by law and safety standards.
• Smoking, alcohol consumption, or carrying illegal substances during rides is strictly prohibited.
• Violations will result in immediate permanent account banning and reporting to law enforcement authorities.

7. Parcel Delivery Terms

When booking the Ride5 Parcel Delivery service, the sender certifies that the shipment complies with local shipping regulations.

• Prohibited Items: Hazardous materials, explosives, illegal drugs, weapons, live animals, cash, and high-value jewelry/precious metals are strictly forbidden.
• Package Weight & Size: Packages must fit securely on a two-wheeler or four-wheeler without compromising driver safety.
• Liability Limit: Ride5's maximum liability for lost or damaged non-prohibited parcel items is capped at ₹2,500 unless additional delivery insurance was selected during booking.

8. Driver-Partner Terms

Driver-Partners are independent contractors and not employees, agents, or joint-venturers of Ride5 Taxi.

• Driver-Partners must maintain valid driver's licenses, commercial permits, vehicle registrations, and active insurance coverage.
• Driver-Partners agree to undergo background checks and vehicle inspections prior to onboarding.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ride5 Taxi and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of the platform, third-party driver actions, traffic delays, or force majeure events.
